This polyurethane foam is suitable for manual processing.

Pillows and mattresses are manufactured from this resin under industrial conditions.

 

It is also applied in other areas, such as pipe insulation.

The relatively low price/volume makes it to be in demand also for hobby artists. The 462 grams package is sufficient for producing an item of 4.2 dm3.

For example, you can cast two pieces of 2.5 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm sponge seats.

 

The density of the foam is 110 kg/m3 so that it can be used economically for space-filling, too.

You can fill in the interior of larger sculptures or decorative elements. Its surface can be easily coated with other urethane or coating resin like epoxy.

Due to its elasticity, you can also construct a flexible casting tool, especially for large dimensions. In this case, it is usually necessary to use a mould release agent.
